The best candidate for plastic surgery is someone who has a positive body image and has realistic expectations about outcome, realizing that every body type is different and the healing process affects everyone differently. Dr. Humphreys and Dr. Whidden will discuss all of these issues and concerns with you in a consultation as well as discuss all your health issues prior to booking a date for surgery.
Due to the high demand for our Doctors, our consultation and surgical days can fill up quickly. We suggest that you book your consultation 6 – 8 weeks prior to your desired surgical date. When determining your surgical date, choose a time when you can take up to 2 weeks off of work and or rigorous activity to allow for healing.
Generally, most plastic surgery is not covered by Health Care or private insurance plans. There are a few cases, such as breast reduction and breast reconstruction that are fully covered.
Dr. Humphreys and Dr. Whidden perform their plastic surgeries in their fully accredited private hospital, Macleod Trail Surgical Centre located in the same building.
There are several companies who provide financing for elective surgical procedures. The staff and Surgeon's at Macleod Trail Plastic Surgery are in no way involved in the contract between clients and their chosen finance company. You are certainly welcome to use any company you wish to finance your procedure.
