BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX Cosmetic is a quick, simple treatment that helps women and men restore a refreshed, more youthful look. If you're wondering why so many of your friends aren't showing their age, BOTOX may be the reason. In our Calgary facility, it is the most popular cosmetic injectable among our patients. It's time for you to experience the rejuvenating affects you can get from BOTOX treatments performed by our plastic surgeons and Vanessa, our certified nurse injector.

How It Works

Unlike injectable fillers, which restore volume under the skin, BOTOX is a purified protein that works by relaxing the small facial muscles that contract and cause facial lines and creases called dynamic wrinkles. When administered by a skilled injector, BOTOX corrects these wrinkles and lines, allowing them to gradually smooth out.

Is BOTOX for You?

Botox Treatment Areas

BOTOX treatments help women and men look younger by smoothing away these types of lines:

  • Vertical frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes
  • Horizontal forehead lines

Your Treatment

A BOTOX treatment session with us lasts about an hour. We begin by preparing your treatment areas and marking the places where injections will produce the best results. If you choose to have a topical anesthetic, we will also apply that before proceeding.

The injections themselves take about 20 minutes to perform. Once complete, we ask that you sit for a brief observation period, and then you are free to go about your daily activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I see results after a BOTOX treatment?

While experiences vary, treated areas typically begin appearing smoother within a week of your treatment and remain that way for up to 4 months. We recommend periodic touch-up treatments to maintain your refreshed look.

How much will a BOTOX treatment cost?

The price of a treatment session varies from patient to patient based on several factors, including the area treated and the amount of BOTOX needed. We aim to be transparent on the cost of a treatment session, so we will give you a detailed price quote during your initial consultation.

Can I combine BOTOX and other injectables in a single treatment?

Yes, we can combine injectable and filler treatments. Because BOTOX and fillers are used for different concerns, many of our patients have both types of injections performed during the same treatment session.
